Oh, the hot wok dishes at La Orquidea were a revelation! Each bite was a flavor explosion! Plus, the charming decor of the colonial building made my stay even more delightful. And a shoutout to Viviana—the receptionist who couldn't have been more helpful!

On the flip side, I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast compared to other places in Ecuador, and my room had no window to the outside. Still, this kept the traffic noise at bay, which was a win in its own right.

Unfortunately, the noise level in the hotel was quite disruptive. Being in a room that faced the street meant early morning traffic was hard to ignore. Additionally, the wooden floors creaked, making it challenging to navigate without waking others—a downside if you have differing schedules.

This place is super central, just a hop to the plaza and the vibe is truly lekker. The staff are friendly as ever, helped with my heavy bags like champs. The breakfast was simples but the coffee was flowing, defs gave me the kick for exploring. Love the historic charm everywhere you look!

The location is fantastic, right opposite a beautiful church and just a short stroll to the historic center. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring you feel welcome during your stay. My room was clean and spacious, with enough storage and a comfortable bed.

I loved how this place was right in the center of the most charming part of old town Cuenca, with the stunning La Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepcion just a short stroll away and the picturesque Rio Tomebamba nearby for lovely walks along the water, making it a perfect base for my city explorations.

I stayed in a twin room for 3 nights, and honestly, the bed was fairly comfortable. The room was clean and spacious enough for two people. The WiFi worked well, so we could stream Netflix, which was a plus! But the decor felt a bit dated, and the bathroom could use some updates.
