Delicious coffee in the morning, perfect to wake up before doing absolutely nothing in the hammocks. The common kitchen is great, if you're into cooking your own meals while on vacation.

Such a shame that the beauty of the natural surroundings can only be seen outside the boundaries of the hostel.

I had reserved a room with a sea view, hammock, and terrace, but unfortunately, I didn't get that room. However, the owner, Javier, was extremely helpful and offered me a discounted rate for staying in the room on my departure day. He even bought a bus ticket for me! The social atmosphere created by Javier and his family was also fantastic. I would recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at a lovely property with a good vibe. The front area with tables was a perfect spot to chill, especially in the evening. It was quiet and protected from the cold wind. The kitchen and fridge were conveniently located by the tables. The breakfast cooked from scratch every day was delicious. The staff were super nice and even set up a TV so we could watch the World Cup together. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the building had cool details like a small roof terrace and use of a kitchen. The breakfast was huge and the juice was the best we've had while traveling. The shower provided hot water. Highly recommend staying here if you're in town.

had a perfect romantic stay in canoa. the location of the hostel was ideal, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and much quieter than beachfront properties. loved the cool and laid-back design. hot water in the rooms and a fan provided. enjoyed breakfast, although a bit expensive. plenty of other breakfast options nearby. didn't want to leave!

Mosquitos nets only provided on lower bunk beds.

We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful hostal in Canoa. The welcoming staff at Rutamar made our experience even better. The spacious and clean room had a great fan and mozzie net. The en suite bathroom was a good size. We greatly enjoyed the use of the kitchen and the abundance of hammocks to relax in. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and all the shops and cafes. Canoa itself had a lovely vibe, and we highly recommend Rutamar as an excellent place to stay.

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times. We also had a small issue with our room, but the staff was quick to resolve it.

I stayed in a quaint hostel with a great location. It was located on the quieter side of town, away from the hustle and bustle. The owner, Javier, was friendly and welcoming. The hostel provided free drinking water and had excellent wifi. The fans in the rooms were much appreciated in the warm weather.

The rooms were quite small and lacked hanging space. There was also a lack of night/reading lights by the beds.

As women traveling alone, we loved the cozy and beautiful wooden and bamboo interiors of the hostel. The comfi beds, cotton sheets, and towels made for a comfortable stay. The hot showers were a plus, and there were plenty of outdoor spaces to relax, including a desk with plugs for remote work. The room had thoughtful details like a big mirror and lots of hooks for towels and clothes. The hostel's location on the quieter side of town provided a peaceful atmosphere away from beach parties. The super fast wifi and regular cleaning service were also much appreciated.

It was only a 2-minute walk to the beach, so I could easily go back and forth throughout the day. Plus, it was much quieter compared to the beachfront properties that faced the road and the bustling crowds. The design of the hostel was really cool and had a laid-back vibe. The room had hot water and a fan, which were definitely appreciated. I also enjoyed a lovely breakfast one morning, although it was a bit pricey. But no worries, there were plenty of other places nearby to get breakfast. I didn't want to leave this place!
