The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen area had a great view of the sea. the staff, Christian and Konstantin, were super friendly and went above and beyond to help us. They made the atmosphere in the kitchen lively and fun, often chatting and enjoying with the guests during evening hours. Konstantin even helped us connect our laptop to the WiFi when we were having trouble. We really felt at home and would come back anytime. Thanks for a perfect start to our time on the Faroe Islands!

The staff is friendly, the living room is cozy, and there is a great view from the window. It's the cheapest place to stay in the Faroes and has nice social rooms and kitchens. Bathrooms are relatively clean despite the number of guests.

The hostel had clean and bright facilities, with good washing facilities. the view from the hostel was absolutely amazing, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area. the hostel had no restrictions on kitchen and pantry usage, allowing guests to cook and eat at their own convenience.

The Wi-Fi coverage in the rooms was not great, which made it difficult to stay connected. there were no wardrobes or hooks in some of the bathrooms, making it inconvenient to dry clothes and hang towels.

I got great value for my money at this hostel! The room may have been small, but it was cozy and had an excellent view across the bay. The staff at Giljanes were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.

The breakfast option could be improved, maybe by offering a wider variety of choices.

I stayed at Giljanes for 4 nights and it was an amazing experience. The owner, Kristjan, was one of the best hosts I've ever encountered. The kitchen facilities were top-notch, with plenty of fridges and cooking space. The common room and sitting area were comfortable and cozy. Renting a car and staying here allowed me to explore the beautiful Faroe Islands without any hassle. The value for money was superb, with 380 DKK for 4 nights. I can't recommend Kristjan and this place enough!

The location was very convenient, close to bus stops and beautiful trails. The hostel offered a unique experience, staying in a bus with a stunning bay view. We enjoyed meeting new people and hearing their interesting stories and travel tips. The location was easily accessible on foot, by hitchhiking, or by bus. We also appreciated the peacefulness and tranquility of the surroundings.

Felt like relaxing at home, nothing to complain about.

We had an exceptional stay at a cozy hostel in Sandavagur. The host was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He provided us with helpful advice on what to see and do in the area. The common room and kitchen were lovely and well-equipped, making it easy to meet other travelers. The bed was comfortable and the overall installations were good. We felt a strong sense of community and felt right at home.

Conveniently located near the airport and attractions on the island. Communication with the host was easy and people were generally nice. The private rooms were basic but comfortable, providing a good place to relax after a day of exploring.

When the hostel is crowded, it can be difficult to use basic services like kitchens and bathrooms, which can also become quite dirty. Some guests lacked manners, leading to noisy nights and doors slamming.

My stay at Giljanes was absolutely wonderful. I stayed for 4 nights and it exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The host, Kristjan, was incredibly helpful and made me feel right at home. The common area and kitchen were spacious and modern, with plenty of seating and cooking space. The bathrooms, although only two, had amazing showers with hot water and good pressure. The dorm room, while small, was cozy and comfortable. The cleanliness of the entire hostel was impressive. The location, with its beautiful views of the sea and smaller islands, was a short walk/drive to grocery stores and the bus stop to Torshavn. This has been my favorite hostel experience to date and I can't wait to return one day.
