We had the most wonderful stay at Chateau Le Fresne! The self-catering cottage was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. My daughter loved the bunnies nearby, and breakfast was a delight with a lovely selection of homemade and locally produced food. The evening meal was the best of our holiday, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We can't wait to return!

Beautifully restored chateau with comfortable rooms, clever en-suites, high ceilings, and great river views. Helpful staff who speak English. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in Bouchemaine. 15-minute drive to Angers. Various activities available, including wine cellars, cycling, and kayaking. Delicious French breakfasts and dinner with locally sourced produce.

We got great value for our money at Chateau Le Fresne. Our room in the self catering cottage was tastefully decorated and had comfortable beds. The location was perfect, within walking distance to shops and restaurants in a beautiful riverside setting. The staff treated us like royalty, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

Breakfast items could use one more choice to make it even better.
