During our Christmas stay, we were delighted with the warm and cozy atmosphere of this charming B&B. the beautifully restored house exuded period charm, and we felt right at home. One of the best aspects was the delicious breakfasts, with a variety of homemade sweets, jams, and jellies that were simply mouthwatering. the convenient location allowed us to easily explore the nearby shops and restaurants.

Although the B&B was a bit tricky to find at first, once we figured out the walking route, it was smooth sailing. However, we did encounter some confusion with local taxis and other people not being familiar with the B&B's exact location.

Carole, the host, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Our room was perfect and overlooked a beautiful garden area. the breakfast each morning was simply delightful, with a wonderful selection of fresh fruits, homemade cakes and jams, and local delicacies. Carole provided us with great recommendations for places to visit and dine in town. the location was ideal, allowing us to easily walk to all the nearby attractions. We wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy all that this unique place had to offer.

The accommodations were superb and the room was spacious with beautiful garden views. The breakfasts were a highlight, with high-quality and varied food options, including delicious home baked tarts. The host was helpful and provided valuable tips for our stay. The hotel's location within walking distance of the city center was convenient.

One negative aspect was the lack of privacy, although we recognized that we were staying in someone's home. Another minor issue was the noise from the creaking wooden floorboards, which made us conscious of being considerate to the hosts.

I was lucky enough to have the top floor room to myself, which was beautifully decorated and had a spacious bathroom. The breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a variety of delicious homemade treats and fresh local produce. The resident cat and dog added an extra touch of joy to my visit. I can't recommend this place enough.

I must admit, it was a bit challenging to find the B&B initially using navigation. Additionally, the bath in my room was a bit old, although it was still very clean.

For anyone seeking an authentic French experience with a fantastic host, Clos de Bellefontaine is the ideal choice. This hidden gem offers a tranquil oasis with stunning gardens, including blooming lilacs during our stay. The Maison de Maitre itself is beautifully restored, boasting a charming wooden staircase and stylish decor. Carole, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From serving an amazing breakfast spread to providing helpful recommendations, she made our stay truly memorable. The location is also perfect, just minutes away from the delightful town center of Bayeux.
