The surprises hidden throughout the hotel added an extra element of fun to our stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous, with a wide variety of delicious options. The central location of the hotel made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area, and we loved having access to 24-hour tea and coffee, along with a great selection of books and board games.

We had a fun weekend at this quirky hotel! the retro-style decor really added to the atmosphere and made it feel like we were stepping back in time. the staff was friendly and helpful, especially the lady who ran the place. She gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We also loved the fact that there was free tea and coffee available until late in the evening. It was a nice touch to be able to relax in the downstairs bar/reading room with a hot drink after a long day of exploring. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the town. We were able to easily walk to the Jardins and the cliffs, which were both incredible. it was a really enjoyable stay and we would definitely consider coming back.

The hotel is conveniently located close to all the main attractions in the town. the lounge area downstairs is a great place to relax, with complimentary coffee and cookies, as well as a selection of books and a chess set. the thematic rooms are a unique touch, and I particularly enjoyed the 33' record player in my room.

One of the main drawbacks of the hotel is the lack of a 24-hour reception. Additionally, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, which could be uncomfortable during the warmer months.

My kid especially loved the surprises in the room, like the old fully-functioning turntable with a collection of records from the 70s-80s. Highly recommended!

We loved the charming and original interior design of this hotel. The detective theme was evident throughout, with cool details like a pistol handlebar door knob in the bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel also had a pleasant lounge/commons room with books, games, hot drinks, and biscuits. Its location was perfect - just a short walk to shops, restaurants, the beach, and the boardwalk with stunning rock formations.
