the suite at this hotel, Logis Hotel Le Rivage, was incredibly spacious and luxurious. the bathroom was fantastic and the amenities such as cable TV and wifi actually worked, which can sometimes be an issue in France. the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. the best part was the breakfast, which had the most impressive spread and variety I've ever had in France. It was definitely worth the extra cost. the town of Gien where the hotel is located is a hidden gem with its impressive church and chateau. the hotel is also conveniently situated on the river and is only a 10-minute walk to the town center. Parking was included in the room rate and the hotel even provided instructions on how to enter after hours. everything was perfect for a short stay.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good bar and restaurant. Comfortable bed, great sleep. Fantastic breakfast spread. Excellent location, easy to find and close to town. Helpful staff, map provided.
