The Mercure was a well-located, comfortable hotel just a short walk from the entrance to the Cite. The view from the bedroom was stunning, especially at night when the Cite was beautifully lit. The rooms were cozy and the bathroom was a good size. I appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel also had plenty of free and secure car parking, which was a great bonus. I had a fantastic stay and would happily choose the Mercure again.

The reception staff at Mercure Carcassonne La Cite were exceptional. They provided excellent service and were very helpful, friendly, and polite. They were also multilingual, speaking 3-4 languages, which was a great asset. They booked a dinner table for us and even helped me book an online air ticket when I struggled with the French language on the website. The team is truly commendable. The hotel was very clean and had great amenities. The pool area had a beautiful, traditional French style, and we had pool access from our room. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the walled old city of Carcassonne and a 25-minute walk to the new center. Alternatively, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel that took us to the center in just a few minutes for only €1 per person. The walk to the new center was also enjoyable as we crossed the old bridge and savored the sights. The staff were accommodating, making it easy for a family member to store medication in a fridge and use it daily.

We felt very relaxed and had no complaints whatsoever.
