I had a fantastic stay at a hotel located in a prime spot, just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by plenty of dining options. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to help. The breakfast spread was delicious, and my room was spacious and sparkling clean. I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and value.

This hotel offers great value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the location is superb. It's only a 14-minute scenic route walk to the central station, and close to the Alster. You can easily walk to most places from here. The staff provides excellent service and the basic amenities are all there. The rooms facing the inner side of the building are quiet and peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The only thing that could be improved is the lack of breeze in some of the rooms. Some rooms face walls, so there's no natural airflow.

After a long day exploring the city, we were pleasantly surprised to find a kettle in our room, allowing us to make a comforting cup of tea. This small amenity made our stay at Alster-Hof even more enjoyable.

The location in the main centre was perfect, just a short walk away from a lovely eating mall on the Esplanade. The rooms, while featuring somewhat dated furniture, were clean and comfortable, with a double bed and a great bathroom. Plus, breakfast was included in my rate, and it was a delightful experience with delicious fruit salad and a wide selection of options.

Moreover, the hotel is situated right near the upmarket shopping area, which offers a wide range of restaurant options for meals.

The hotel lacks a ramp for wheelchair users at the entrance, making it difficult for guests with physical handicaps to access the premises.

The room was small but comfy, with a safe and a meticulously clean bathroom. The breakfast had a nice selection, including a pleasant surprise of sour fish. The personnel was friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the ceiling lightning in the room, which made it more homelike and not as dark as other hotels. The shower was preferred over the tub and was provided. The location was perfect, with a 15-minute walk to the centre and good connections to the Ubahn. the hotel met my expectations, especially considering the price I paid.

Loved our romantic escape here! Best aspects were the delicious breakfast and the complimentary bottle of water. the location was perfect - close to all the action but still quiet. We also enjoyed the cozy room with a comfortable bed.

Disliked the lack of air conditioning, which made the room quite stuffy at night. the shower leaked water onto the carpet outside of the bathroom and there were no facecloths provided.

the location was perfect, close to the Altstadt and expensive shopping streets. the staff was friendly and helpful. the hotel was undergoing restoration, but it was still neat and clean. the rooms were silent, ensuring a peaceful stay. the breakfast room was stylish and spacious, and the buffet had everything you could ask for.
