The value for money at Mintrops was fantastic! The room was spacious and luxurious, with a huge bathroom and a separate bedroom for extra privacy. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful houses, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and even showed us their impressive 150-year-old dining room.

The only improvement that could be made for breakfast is better communication between the staff and guests. One morning, there was a slight mix-up with our order, but the rest of the experience was great.

The decorations in the lobby were cute and the staff was friendly. the room was adequate and the bathroom was clean. the hotel was located near a good shopping area and transportation links.

I couldn't sleep well due to the noise from the street. the restaurant was overpriced and the food was not good.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, situated in a lovely square surrounded by beautiful old houses. It felt like a peaceful oasis just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The room was luxurious with modern amenities and a balcony overlooking the market square. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Smooth and quick check-in. Quiet residential area with beautiful houses. Recommended for a peaceful getaway. Convenient location, only 10 minutes by train to the city center. Historical building with nice architecture. Upgraded to a Junior suite. Warm stay with adjustable heating. Breakfast with fresh orange juice. Close to Messe Essen.

We had a pleasantly surprising stay at Mintrops Stadt Hotel Margarethenhohe. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed exploring the nearby market and found some great local shops. Although breakfast was a bit expensive, there was a bakery around the corner where we could grab a delicious meal. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Essen.
