Stunning views but a steep climb

The Rock Hotel has breathtaking views from every room, and the breakfast buffet is extensive with hearty portions. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay enjoyable.

Excellent afternoon tea with stunning views of the bay.

My stay was overshadowed by cleanliness issues. the floors were not properly cleaned, and I found myself needing to wipe my feet after stepping out of the shower. The noise from staff activities early in the morning was frustrating, especially since my room was right across from their cleaning area. To add to my disappointment, the service at the bar was lackluster, with the bartender seeming grouchy and taking an unacceptably long time to fulfill our order.

fantastic views and easy access to historic sights

The room had great views out to sea and was perfectly located near the botanical gardens, which made starting my daily explorations a breeze. also, the friendly hotel staff made my experience all the more enjoyable during my stay.
