Despite low expectations from previous reviews, the experience at Astoria exceeded expectations. the staff were extremely helpful, the hotel was very clean and comfortable, and it provided a quiet environment. Though the hotel had an old-fashioned style, it was a perfect choice and offered good value for money. Will definitely recommend this hotel for a stopover.

the staff was very kind and helpful, even keeping our baggage safe while we explored the town before catching our ferry the next day. the hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from the ferry port and ticket booths. We enjoyed walking along the port and harbor, where there are plenty of outdoor restaurants to choose from. the staff recommended Lithnos, where we had a delicious meal. Our room was quiet, perfect for our short overnight stay. the hotel has a grand entrance, standing out among the older buildings nearby.

Stayed 2 nights before taking the ferry to Corfu. Astoria was a great choice due to its perfect location near the port, tavernas, and restaurants. the staff provided excellent service, welcoming us and giving us all the important information about the town. Within just 5 minutes, we knew where to find everything - bakery, coffee shop, restaurants, and beaches. the extended breakfast was personally served to our table, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. the hotel had a charming "Grand Hotel" vibe and a large bathroom. the town of Igoumenitsa had a nice coastal path for walking or running, and we enjoyed the lively Greek nightlife with hardly any tourists.

I was impressed by the friendly and enthusiastic staff at Astoria. Despite our late arrival after 1.00am, they provided a warm welcome and efficient check-in. the hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk from the center and right opposite the port. the room was comfortable, clean, and had excellent aircon. It was also convenient to have a fridge and kettle. Free parking at the rear of the hotel was available, and the staff even offered gated parking for an extra cost.
