I recently had a wonderful stay at a lovely resort inspired by a Cretan village. Silva Beach, as it's called, offers a peaceful and refreshing break from the typical touristy areas. the staff at the resort were incredibly welcoming and caring, making me feel right at home. the location is perfect, with two beautiful pools to enjoy and direct access to a small sandy beach. the resort's buffet exceeded my expectations, with fresh and tasty dishes, whether Cretan specialties or international cuisine. the design of the resort is lovely, with clean and pleasant rooms. One of the highlights was taking a nice stroll along the seaside into the nearby old port. It's also worth mentioning that it's easy to arrange car hire if you want to explore more of the amazing island of Crete.
