The location is excellent, with easy access to El Remate and the biotopo. The hostel organized trips to Tikal and Yaxha perfectly. The grounds are beautiful with howler monkeys and toucans. The small hostel gives an intimate feel. The rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean. Natalie and Dimitri are wonderfully kind hosts. The bungalows are spaced out and comfortable. The stone outdoor bathroom has strong hot water. The food is fantastically good. The grounds have games like boule and badminton. The toilets and showers are new. There are lots of birds and animals, even a hummingbird in the garden. The guesthouse is beautiful and colorful, right on the edge of the jungle and a few minutes walk from the lake. There is a nice restaurant, a fire place, and a tree platform. The shower is amazing and luxurious. Everything is very clean. The food is amazing. a mind-blowing experience with super friendly staff and reasonable prices.

My recent stay at Alice Guesthouse was absolutely incredible. The beautiful garden and clean dorms provided a comfortable and serene setting. I loved the outdoor shower, which made me feel so connected to the surrounding jungle. The nearby lake was a short 5-minute walk away, perfect for a refreshing swim. Dulce, the manager, was attentive and took great care of all the guests. I highly recommend staying at Alice Guesthouse in El Remate! I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had the best bed at this budget guesthouse! The tree hut design was so unique and I loved having the whole second floor to myself. The outdoor shower added a primitive yet resort-like vibe to my stay. The location may not have been the best, but the peaceful atmosphere made up for it. I highly recommend this guesthouse for a comfortable and affordable stay.

The lack of dining options nearby. Since the guesthouse was about 1km from town, there were no other restaurants in the vicinity, making it necessary to eat at the guesthouse.

Wow! This place is mind-blowing! The facilities are super impressive, with thoughtful details like chargers near the hammocks and a separate Wi-Fi for different areas. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, creating a European sanctuary feel with lots of francophone visitors. The food is top-notch, with delicious pasta and quality pancakes. The location is simply magical, nestled in a semi-jungle with stunning views and a few minutes' walk from the lake. The guesthouse is beautifully colorful and has a great restaurant, fire pit, tree platform, and more. The shower is luxurious and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended, despite some minor noise in the mornings and okay staff.

I'm a light sleeper, but the twin-size beds in the dorms at Alice Guesthouse ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The location by the beautiful and calm lake made it even more relaxing. The food and smoothies were the best I've had in hostels in a long time, and not too sweet. The owners were great, sitting and chatting with guests in the evenings. They also organized trips to Tikal with easy hostel pick-up. Plus, they gave me a free lift to the airport!
