As longer term business travelers, we loved the convenient location just a short 5-minute walk from the entrance gate to Semuc Champey. The property's proximity to the river and being downstream from the pools provided a beautiful view. The staff at El Portal De Champey was extremely friendly and helpful, offering shuttle services and assisting with transportation arrangements. The rooms, while semi-enclosed, were comfortable and suitable for our needs.

We had an amazing stay at a hotel near Semuc Champey. El Portal De Champey was the perfect choice for us. It's located just a short walk away from the entrance of the park, allowing us to be one of the first ones in and enjoy the stunning natural beauty without the crowds. The hotel staff even offered a shuttle service from the city, making it super convenient for us. The facilities were great and we loved the laid-back atmosphere. In the evenings, we experienced no electricity, which added to the immersive nature experience. it was a fantastic stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel, which is ideally located just a few minutes' walk from Semuc Champey National Park. The huts/cabanas were amazing, with an open-air design and a unique entrance through a trap door. The staff were awesome, speaking good English and helping us with transfers. The communal area overlooking the river was a great spot for salsa and Latin dancing in the evening. The food was basic but nice, and the cocktails were strong. The tour they provided for exploring Semuc Champey, including caving by candlelight, was absolutely amazing.
