I recently stayed at Guest House Posada Ixchel for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The staff, a helpful and kind family, was available around the clock and made me feel right at home. The WiFi connection was great throughout the hotel and the mosquito nets provided a comfortable sleep. The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to transportation, restaurants, a supermarket, and an ATM. The kitchen was fully equipped and the courtyard was a relaxing spot to unwind. the atmosphere was welcoming and the owner was always ready to assist with travel plans.

stayed in el remate before and this time guest house posada ixchel blew me away! fast and reliable wifi, comfy beds, and super friendly staff. they even helped me with transport to tikal and had hot water the whole time. exceeded expectations!

We had a fantastic stay at a scenic place with lots of green vegetation and a pleasant porch. The room was clean and had hot water, and there were mosquito nets provided. We also enjoyed the quiet evenings and the short walk to the swimming pier on Lake Peten Itza. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and affordable stay.

We got great value for our money at this guesthouse in El Remate. The room was spacious and clean, with extra beds and a nice ensuite bathroom. The location was perfect, right in the middle of town and just across the road from the lake. The staff, a mother and daughter, were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with transportation and answering all our questions.

What an amazing experience! The lady who runs the place is seriously the nicest human alive. She gave us all the info we needed on getting to Tikal and Flores, and even helped us figure out the best and cheapest options. And don't get me started on the rooms - huge and clean with hot water in the private bathroom. The location is perfect, right in the heart of town with restaurants galore. And did I mention the next-door restaurant - mind-blowing! The staff let us store our packed lunches in their fridge and even organized an early morning pick-up to Tikal. Plus, the mother-daughter team running the place were so friendly and accommodating, despite the language barrier. Free wi-fi, laundry service, and pet-friendly too! Super impressed!

We were pleasantly surprised to find three beds and a mosquito net. our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
