The staff were extremely helpful when we had to change our reservation and didn't charge us any extra fees. the rooms were clean and had lovely details. the garden area was a pleasant surprise and the breakfast was delicious. the location was ideal, close to bars, restaurants, and shops, and the staff helped me navigate around town. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful outdoor seating areas. Utz Jay provided great value for the money.

The hostel has a secure locker for valuables. The multilingual front desk staff consists of foreign students. The location is central. The room was spacious and clean with a good television and hot water. The gardens were beautiful and there is a cafe on site for breakfast.

I stayed at a hotel in Panajachel with a great value for money. The room was basic but comfortable, and I enjoyed the view from my balcony. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and shops, and the staff were friendly and polite.

The hotel had a spacious room with a good shower and comfortable bed, which was a relief after a long day of traveling. the location was great, close to the main street but still quiet enough for a peaceful night's sleep. Plus, it was conveniently located near the public boat pier, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Another advantage was the on-site cafeteria, where I could enjoy a value breakfast before starting my day.

During the day, there was a lot of construction noise and lawn mowing, which made it impossible to take a siesta. And to make matters worse, the dog in the neighborhood barked loudly and consistently at night, disrupting my sleep.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and a clean bathroom. the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and I always had hot water. the grounds of the hotel were beautiful, with tables set up in the garden, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

I had a terrible experience with the noise levels at the hotel. Despite the supposed quiet hours, there was a loud party going on nearby that lasted past 10pm, disturbing my sleep.

Stayed at Utz Jay for a week on a family vacation. Beautifully tended garden setting right in the heart of town. Superb room with modern bathrooms and a lovely veranda. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the young man at the front desk who spoke perfect English. Laundry and breakfast services available for a reasonable fee. Convenient location within walking distance of everything. a great experience for us and our children.

I recently stayed at Hotel Utz Jay in Panajachel for 5 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The room, #6, was beautifully decorated with great artwork and had original brick walls from the old laundry days. The tiled bath was a nice touch. The hotel is located in a quiet and friendly area, with many wild birds in the center of town. The breakfast was the best, with friendly staff and a wonderful setting. The location of the hotel was great, close to the main street but off it, making it a bit quieter. It was also conveniently located near the public boat pier. The room was spacious and had a good shower. The hotel cafeteria on site offered a good value breakfast if desired. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in a great location close to the main street. The staff at Utz Jay were very friendly, professional, and eager to assist with anything I needed. The rooms were spacious and had a good shower. I especially enjoyed the peaceful garden area, which added to the beauty and privacy of the hotel. Although breakfast was not included in my reservation, I was pleased to find a nice on-site cafeteria with a good value breakfast available for a small additional cost. my stay at Utz Jay was enjoyable and provided a great experience in Panajachel.

Stayed at Utz Jay for a few days and had a wonderful time. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, and the rooms were spacious and elegantly decorated. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and their restaurant recommendations were on point. The breakfasts were convenient, delicious, and reasonably priced, with unlimited good coffee. The garden was a peaceful oasis, and the location was just off the main street but still very quiet. a fantastic value and we will definitely be back!

weird smell in the room

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the peaceful garden oasis, jacuzzi, and Mayan sauna. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring the area.

Felt incredibly welcomed, no complaints whatsoever.
