We had an amazing stay at a 2 bedroom cottage with a hot tub at Dimmuborgir Guesthouse. It exceeded our expectations in every way. the living room/kitchen was spacious and could easily accommodate a large family. the cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, including sugar, tea, coffee, pasta, and oil. We loved the hot tub, it was ready and hot when we arrived, providing the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. the staff was welcoming, especially the two special members who made our stay even better. if you're not a fan of furry friends, you might not enjoy this aspect.

We absolutely loved our stay at this guesthouse! the staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. the rooms were comfortable and had a cute ambiance. the breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. But the best part was the location! the guesthouse had a beautiful view of the lake and was conveniently located near hiking trails and a crater. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our trip.

First, some of the rooms had doors with windows but no curtains, which made us feel a bit exposed. We had to cover the window with a towel for some extra privacy.

The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was close to beautiful Myvatn lake, nice restaurants, and right at the lake itself. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great service. Nothing to mention.

For the price we paid, we got great value with a small but cozy room that had a comfortable bed and a lovely lake view. The location was perfect, close to hiking trails and attractions in the area. They helped us book a discounted whale watching tour and a breathtaking horseback riding tour. the cabins were rustic but well-maintained, and the shared bathroom was just a few steps away from our room. the included breakfast was delicious, featuring local foods like smoked trout and wild eggs. the staff was friendly and always ready to assist. Plus, the view of Lake Myvatn from the guesthouse was stunning. And to top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the Aurora on our first night!

The cabin at Dimmuborgir Guesthouse was a cute little home surrounded by nature, providing a warm and well-ventilated atmosphere. The comfy bed ensured a good night's sleep, and the timber smell of the building added to the cozy experience. The staff was attentive and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. We loved the proximity to the lake, the nature hikes, and the lava fields, offering stunning views. we would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

Comfortabel appartement, uitstekende locatie met bus en restaurants in de buurt, goed uitgerust met alle nodige voorzieningen, behulpzame en vriendelijke gastheer. Terras en uitzicht op de baai zijn geweldig. Ondergrondse parkeergelegenheid is een pluspunt. Beveiligingsmaatregelen zijn een extra geruststelling. Een aanrader!

The guesthouse location is excellent - lake view, near Dimmugorgir park. Friendly staff, provided helpful travel tips. Great chance to see aurora. Common kitchen for making tea/coffee. Strong shower, friendly dogs. Acceptable breakfast range, quality good. Elderly gentleman offers scheduled tour. Comfy beds, beautiful scenery.

We got great value for our money with an affordable, clean room that had a beautiful view. The location was excellent for exploring the area and the staff treated us very nicely.

I recently stayed at Dimmuborgir Guesthouse in Myvatn for two nights and it was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring all the attractions around the area, including Hverfjall Crater, the Myvatn Nature Bath, and Dimmuborgir itself. The kitchen facilities were a great bonus, allowing us to save money by preparing our own meals for dinner and breakfast. The breakfast room also had stunning views of the lake and the breakfast itself was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, including the opportunity to bake our own pancakes. a highly enjoyable stay.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

Great lakeside location, cozy cabins, and friendly hosts. Upgraded to a larger cabin and had an amazing view of the volcano. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade smoked trout. Enjoyed playing with the dogs and the stunning views all around.
