Family-friendly with a children's play area and cots available. No pets allowed and no smoking on site, ensuring a pleasant environment.

Spacious room with kitchenette, surrounded by beautiful mountains. Friendly hosts accommodated our late night arrival. Close to Skriðuklaustur and Hengifoss waterfall. Abundant breakfast and tasty dinner options. Convenient check-in with nearby farm owners.

We loved the close proximity to the stunning Hengifoss waterfall and the delicious cake buffet at Skriduklaustur. The guesthouse is nestled in nature, offering a picturesque view of the river valley. The central room is beautifully decorated and houses the reception and restaurant. The breakfast provided was both plentiful and tasty. As a family with two small kids, we appreciated the private bathrooms in each room and the spaciousness of our accommodation. The guesthouse also had kitchen appliances available, which were very useful for preparing meals. a simple but well-equipped accommodation in a great location for exploring the area.

We were able to wake up early and easily visit the nearby Hengifoss waterfall, which was absolutely breathtaking. the central room, where the restaurant and reception were located, had a beautiful decoration that added to the cozy atmosphere. And let's not forget about the breakfast - it was rich and tasty, with a great variety of foods and drinks to choose from.

The only downside we experienced was the limited hot water. Although it didn't affect us much since we take quick showers, it was surprising and unexpected.

They were always responsive to my messages and greeted me with a big smile upon arrival. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the dining room had a great atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious dinner and a nice breakfast during my stay. the guesthouse is also conveniently located for exploring the area, including the Hengifoss waterfall hike. it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.
