We absolutely loved our stay at this guesthouse! The owner is fantastic and took great care of us. Our room was upgraded to a spacious and fully equipped studio apartment. The location was perfect, with the BSI bus terminal and city center just a short walk away. This made it incredibly convenient for us to explore Reykjavik and take various tours. We enjoyed our time here and can't wait to come back!

I stayed at Guesthouse Galtafell for three nights during my visit to Reykjavik. The house owner family members, including their adorable puppy and kitty, were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short 5-8 minute walk from the main bus station. I loved being close to the main shopping street and the charming district of small houses. Despite the room being a bit small, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. The room also had a big flat TV with streaming capabilities and the option to make tea and coffee. The contact-free check-in process was convenient, and overall, the hotel offered excellent value for the price.

The rooms in the building next to the main house were smaller and had a slight damp smell, contrary to the advertised photos of the main house.
