We had an amazing stay at this cozy farm guesthouse. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway, surrounded by beautiful fields and close to the stunning Lake Myvatn. The comfortable rooms have temperature control and the shared bathrooms were clean. The friendly staff provided great service and the breakfast had a good variety. We loved the spacious kitchen and the opportunity to meet other guests. a great spot to enjoy the starry nights and the northern lights.

The drive down the gravel road to get to the guesthouse was longer than expected.

The location was breathtaking, with stunning views and the opportunity to see lambs being born. The traditional farm-grown food was delicious, and the Northern lights were absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this place.

our stay at stong was even better than before. the staff was so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the room was basic but comfortable, and having our own sink was a nice touch. surrounded by farmland, it was a peaceful and idyllic location. the homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of options to choose from.

We stayed at Guesthouse Stong And Cottages for a few nights during our Icelandic adventure. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a beautiful farm setting with endless landscapes and minimal light pollution. It was the perfect spot for stargazing and maybe even catching a glimpse of the Aurora if we were lucky. The staff, particularly the two lovely ladies at the front desk and restaurant, were always friendly and greeted us with a smile. We loved the fact that it was a working farm, and we could hear the animals all around us. The homemade produce at breakfast was delicious, and the hot tubs were the perfect way to relax after a long day exploring. we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking authentic Icelandic hospitality and a chance to truly immerse themselves in nature.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage near wonderful nature, on a quiet farm where we could see the northern lights. The cottage was well-fitted with underfloor heating, and the owner gave helpful recommendations. The home-cooked dinner was excellent, and the overall experience was peaceful and homely.
