An unexpected issue with the hot water.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the main attractions and near downtown. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast provided had everything I needed to start my day, and the hotel facilities, including the lounge area with complimentary tea and coffee, were excellent. I also appreciated the convenience of having parking and transportation options nearby, including a 10-11 store for bottled drinking water near Hlemmur bus station. the hotel was located in a safe area and provided all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The breakfast provided was absolutely superb, offering a wide variety of options. The location, although a 20-minute walk from the city center, was ideal for us as we were traveling with a car.

The price of this hotel was a steal, especially considering the expensive prices in Iceland. We were pleasantly surprised to find hot drinks available all the time, which was a welcome treat during our cold Christmas stay. the responsive staff went above and beyond - they even prepared us sandwiches for our early check-out.

It's worth mentioning that the hotel could use a little updating, as it has an older feel and could use some fresh paint. Additionally, the room had a lingering smell that reminded us of its previous life as a nursing home, which was not pleasant.

The hotel boasts good common areas with tea and coffee available all day and homemade cake in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet is also noteworthy. However, the hotel is a bit further from the city centre, requiring a longer walk, especially from the loft area.

There are some issues with cleanliness in the rooms, such as dirty balconies and baking trays.
