I recently stayed at Smyrlabjorg for three nights and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with awesome beds. The dinner menu may be limited, but the locally sourced and fresh food was absolutely delicious. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and the staff was quick to refill any items. Speaking of the staff, they were extremely friendly and professional, going above and beyond to accommodate special dietary needs. I truly appreciated their understanding and assistance when we had to change our arrival time due to unforeseen circumstances. a welcoming and top-notch hotel experience.

The location was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Jokulsarlon Lagoon and Icy beach at sunset and sunrise. It was the perfect setting for a romantic escape. the rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Additionally, the locally sourced food served at the restaurant was delicious, giving us a taste of authentic Icelandic cuisine.

There were a couple of downsides to our experience. the lack of a bigger kettle or an urn made it difficult for all guests to fill their flasks with hot water before heading out for the day.

Conveniently located near the Glacier Lagoon, with lovely staff and very clean rooms. The view is beautiful and it's easy to find. The distance from Vatnajokull park is perfect. The breakfast buffet is great and the staff is helpful. The hotel provides a quiet and peaceful environment at night.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel in an idyllic location near Diamond Beach. My quadruple bedroom was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful sunrise view. The restaurant served delicious breakfast and dinner options, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Despite the isolated area, it was a great base for exploring the region's sightseeing sites. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
