I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the big grey church in the center. The check-in process was contact-free, with all the necessary codes emailed to me ahead of time. The dormitory room I stayed in was cozy and well-designed, with comfortable bunk beds and ample plugs for charging devices. The rooms were surprisingly warm, even without the heating on. The noise isolation was excellent, and I had a sink in my room which was convenient. The kitchen, although small, had everything I needed, including fridges for guest use and a well-stocked coffee section. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the availability of towels.

My recent stay at Downtown Guesthouse was fantastic. It was my second time staying here, and I can confidently say that it is a great choice. the hostel is well-maintained, with a clean and comfortable 8-bed dormitory. Despite the larger number of bunks, the dormitory felt spacious and not cramped at all. the bunk beds were also more comfortable and less creaky than what I experienced in the 4-bed dormitory. the breakfast provided was satisfying, with a variety of options including bread, jams, fruit, salami. the check-in process was smooth, with door codes provided in advance. the staff, particularly Joey, were amazing and friendly. the location of the hostel is also excellent, just behind the city center. I would highly recommend Downtown Guesthouse for a pleasant stay.

Clean and comfortable beds, great location, and free parking right in front of the hotel. The guesthouse is ideally situated, just a 10-minute walk from the main street and next to the Hallgrímskirkja. The bus stop is conveniently located right next to the building, and there are supermarkets within a 5-minute walk. We were able to easily explore all the points of interest within a 20-minute walk. The staff, especially Joe, was incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home.

We stayed in a spacious room with comfortable beds and a huge window that provided plenty of natural light. The room even had its own sink and chairs, creating a cozy atmosphere. The location of the guesthouse was ideal, just a short walk from downtown, allowing us to easily explore the city. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the fact that there were separate shower and toilet rooms.

The water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and required constant pressing of a button for it to work properly.
