The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to shopping and restaurants. The shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and convenient. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. We also appreciated the coffee machine and the option to prepare our own breakfast and lunches. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the tricky entrance and the absence of a TV or radio in the room, we highly recommend Thor Guesthouse for its affordability, cleanliness, and excellent location. we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Noise from the street at night.

The guesthouse had a great location, making it easy for us to walk to all the main sights and explore the city center. We were also close to grocery stores, which was convenient for our family. The rooms were comfortable and the shared facilities, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, were clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the fantastic view from our room, overlooking the snowy mountains in the distance.

Some guests mentioned that the noise from the street could be heard in the rooms, which may disturb light sleepers.

We had a wonderful stay at Thor Guesthouse on Skolavordustigur. The location was superb, with close proximity to the iconic Hallgrimskirkja church and the popular bars and shops on Laugavegur. The shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent, and the beds and rooms were very comfortable. The view from our room was breathtaking, overlooking the snowy mountains in the distance. The cleanliness of the place was top-notch, and the staff, especially the friendly cleaning staff, made us feel welcome. The highlight of our stay was witnessing the Northern lights display from the outside balcony. It was truly magical and made our stay even more memorable.

I had an unforgettable stay at Thor Guesthouse on Skolavordustigur. The location was absolutely superb, right in the heart of the city and with a stunning view of the iconic church. The bed in my single room was comfortable and the room itself was cozy. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The common area and kitchen were welcoming and fully equipped. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. Despite the lack of staff on site, everything ran smoothly with the door codes provided. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and friendly atmosphere.
