Great location, delicious breakfast, helpful staff, accessible room, lovely view.

This hotel is a great value for money, located near many tourist attractions around Lake Myvatn. The staff provides excellent service and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with modern bathrooms and good facilities. The breakfast included in the meal has stunning views of the lake.

All was ok.

The bathroom floor was heated, making getting up in the morning so much easier. The room was spacious and had great views of the surrounding area. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. a fantastic stay.

The location was perfect, right across the street from volcanic topographical terrain with walking trails and beautiful views of Lake Myvatn. It was also close to all the attractions in this city and the nearby sights like Húsavík, Dettifoss, and Hafragilsfoss. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was always willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options, including a make-your-own waffle/pancake station. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a restaurant and cafe on-site.

Located at the heart of the volcanic areas, this hotel is perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and other sights around Lake Myvatn. It lies just across the road from the craters along the shore of the lake, providing stunning views. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a sauna.

There were some minor issues with the plumbing in the shower.

As party people, we absolutely loved the geothermal bath in our very big and comfortable room. The sulfur smell added to the experience! The friendly staff and 24-hour reception made our late arrival stress-free. The spectacular breakfast and stunning location were also big highlights. Plus, having coffee and tea in the room was a nice bonus.

Good location for exploring the nearby lake area. Nice hotel binder with information on local flora, fauna and attractions.

We had a wonderful weekend at a hotel with stunning views surrounded by natural attractions. the traditional food was a treat, and the restaurant provided both a buffet and a la carte service. the hotel offered an excellent call service for Northern Lights sightings.

On the other hand, the bathroom was a bit cramped, and the sink was not very convenient to use due to bad engineering. It was challenging to maintain good hygiene without bumping into the glass shelf on top of the sink.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location on the Lakeside was perfect, with stunning views of the lake right across. The staff was extremely friendly and provided me with helpful tips for exploring this beautiful area. The hotel facilities were clean and cozy, and the breakfast options were fantastic. I also appreciated the convenience of having a gas station on the same lot, making it easy for me to refuel during my stay.

Stayed at Sel - Hotel for a few nights. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Dinner buffet was pricey but worth it for the variety of traditional foods. Beautiful sunrise view from the room. Nice boutique hotel with comfortable rooms. Breakfast had good variety. Great location near points of interest and a 2-mile hike around the lake. Professional staff, excellent trout dinner, and convenient laundry service. Lots of parking.

This hotel is certainly a peaceful, rural setting with views of the nearby pseudo-craters. The rooms were large and clean, with comfortable beds and a great view of the lake. The friendly staff and great restaurant made for an enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with a variety of options to choose from.
