We were blown away by the stunning views surrounding the lodge. Taking a walk to the nearby waterfall was a highlight of our stay. The recently refurbished room was spacious and had a fantastic mountain view. The meals at the lodge were a delightful surprise, rivaling those of top restaurants in London. The chef, who also happened to be the manager, created dishes made from farm-fresh and local ingredients. The carrot soup, lamb fillet, and blueberry ice cream were exceptional. The bathroom was luxurious, with a huge and hot shower. The manager and his family were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel truly welcome. this was the best place we stayed at during our trip to Iceland. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing holiday. the hot tub and sauna were a great addition for unwinding after a day of exploring the surrounding hills and waterfalls. the friendly and hospitable staff made the experience even more enjoyable.

The location was a bit remote and further from the main road than expected. the road to the hotel was not in the best condition, making it a bit challenging to reach.

Snorri, the manager/chef, is an absolute legend! He made us feel like VIPs at a high-end restaurant. The dinner was mind-blowing; Snorri even went into detail about each dish, making it a truly special experience. The breakfast was delicious too. The drive to the lodge was jaw-dropping; the views along Road 590 were breathtaking with beautiful farms, waterfalls, horses, and mountains. The small memorial to Bjarna Jonssonar near the lodge was a peaceful and charming spot to soak in the view. Our room was super trendy and comfortable, and the birds singing outside were the perfect lullaby. The lodge provided bikes, so next time we'll explore the area on two wheels. Can't wait for another stay in the summer!

We absolutely loved our stay at this country lodge! The location was perfect - secluded and surrounded by stunning nature.
