The hotel lacks attention to detail in terms of staff training, particularly when it comes to communication and tour arrangements.

Stayed in this beautiful hotel during my weekend and it was a great experience. the traditional Indonesian furniture and interior create a charming and cozy atmosphere. the location is perfect, away from busy streets but still easily accessible. the garden is a lovely addition, with comfortable seating spread throughout and antique decorations like flower and ceramic collections. the room was cozy and fit for honeymooners, with effective WiFi. the buffet breakfast provided was satisfying.

The cleanliness of the hotel could have been better, particularly the dust on the air conditioning and some corners of the room, toilet exhaust, and black spots in the shower. the bathrobe was not changed with clean ones after being put on the floor purposely for washing, and the service asked twice if the guest took them.

The hotel has a luxurious Spa & wellness centre where we enjoyed a relaxing massage. the swimming pool is a perfect spot to lounge in the sun on the sun terrace and sun lounges surrounded by the lush garden area. Our room was spacious and had exclusive amenities that made our stay comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the beautiful scenery of the venue. Breakfast included special diet menus, and the staff provided excellent service.

It was a bit hard to find staff in the evening when we wanted to order something in the bar/lounge area.

Beautiful colonial architecture, great location, friendly and helpful staff, modern facilities, good restaurant with international options.

Nothing it was perfect.

I had a fantastic time during my stay at Shalimar Boutique. The location was perfect for exploring the city and finding great meals. The room was spacious and beautifully laid out, making it a comfortable and relaxing retreat. The morning walks in the superb location were a highlight, and I enjoyed the variety of nice meals available nearby. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, I would still highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Malang. I had a wonderful experience at Shalimar Boutique.
