Nothing could have been better.

During our recent weekend stay in a quiet spot near the mountains, we were blown away by the delicious breakfast options available, including an extensive selection of cereals, traditional Irish breakfast, and fluffy pancakes. the animals roaming around the property added a beautiful touch to our trip, especially the playful dog and charming cat. Location was also highly convenient, with easy access to local attractions and shops.

The Wi-Fi was quite weak and often inaccessible in our room, causing us to have to frequently use the lounge area. the lounge itself was quite small, and even with numerous chairs and tables available, we occasionally had difficulty finding a seat for ourselves and our belongings.

Nestled amidst serene surroundings, Applecroft House offers a tranquil retreat close to the heart of the action. The picturesque gardens, complete with chickens and a potbellied pig, add a charming touch to the stay. Guests can enjoy being a short stroll away from the bustling city center, ensuring convenience without compromising on peace and quiet. The warm and comfortable rooms provide a cozy haven, while the homemade breakfast, featuring delightful cakes and fresh eggs, is a true culinary treat.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The rooms are well-furnished and spacious, with lovely views of the garden. The attention to detail here is superb, from the fresh flowers on every table to the selection of books available to read. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. And oh, the breakfast! The homemade cakes are simply divine.

No complaints at all, everything was fantastic!

Absolutely amazing stay at Cathy’s place! 8 days of hiking with heavy backpacks, and the final 2 days at Cathy’s was like heaven. The best shower in Ireland, beautiful spacious room with garden view, amazing breakfast, short walking distance to town center. Special regards to Teddy and Jacob.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
