What a place! Upscaled castle grounds, doors opening to gardens, great breakfast and drinks in the garden, friendly and attentive staff, updated lobby and dining area, short walk to downtown attractions.

Lovely old building, warm and cosy. Spacious and gorgeous accommodation. Comfy bed, big plunge bath, nice products. Great breakfast selection with fresh juices and fruit. Calm atmosphere, well looked after.

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel in the center of town next door to the castle. The room had a fantastic view of the castle and beautiful gardens. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything without feeling cramped.

I got great value for my money at this beautiful inn. The room, although small, never felt cramped and had an amazing bathroom with excellent water pressure. The central location was convenient and the grounds were beautiful. The staff, especially Ellen at the front desk, were very helpful.

My stay at Butler House was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was unforgettable. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds and a historic building. I was especially delighted to hear that our photographer was excited to capture some amazing shots of us in Butler House on the morning of my wedding. The location of the hotel is also fantastic, with easy access to the nearby Kilkenny Castle and Castle Court.

We stayed at Butler House for a short getaway and were impressed by its great location, just a few minutes walk to the main streets. The property itself is lovely, with beautiful gardens and clean, tidy rooms. The staff, especially Wendy, were amazing - so friendly and helpful. The delicious breakfast and fabulous room made our stay even better. We only wished we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

The food during our Christmas stay was absolutely delicious. The chefs really outdid themselves with a wide variety of mouthwatering options. We also loved the prime location of the hotel, with easy access to all the attractions and shops in the area. It made exploring the city a breeze. Plus, the staff were friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any requests or questions we had.

Despite paying a premium price for our stay, the room felt tired and in need of renovation. The furniture was outdated and worn, and there were several noticeable stains on the carpet.

Additionally, the hotel had a convenient off-street car park for guests, which was a great advantage for those who were driving during their stay.
