We loved the gated courtyard and the safe facilities for kids: trampoline, playground, and treehouse. The welcome basket with local produce was a lovely touch. The cottage had all the necessary amenities for a family with children, including a cot, highchair, and stair gate. The location was perfect for attending a concert in Slane and visiting Tayto Park. Beds were super comfy, and the organic toiletries were a nice touch. The building itself was attractive and environmentally responsible.

We had a fantastic weekend break at Decoy Cottages in Co. Meath. The cottage was homely and warm with everything we needed, including hot chocolate which was a big hit for me as a chocolate fan. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of clean towels provided. We loved lighting the fire at night and the den turned game room was a hit with my 7-year-old son. The outdoor facilities like the tree house and park were great for him as well. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the welcome pack which included delicious homemade bread and farm-fresh eggs. The environment-friendly practices and the Revive Spa were additional bonuses. I highly recommend Decoy Cottages for a wonderful stay.

We recently stayed at Decoy Cottages for a family holiday and couldn't have asked for more. Paula welcomed us warmly and even accommodated our sick children. The cleanliness of the property was outstanding, and we were delighted with the thoughtful welcome basket filled with essential food items. The cottage itself was spacious and had all the comforts of home. The facilities for children were impressive, and the beautifully restored building added to the charm. We also appreciated the emphasis on environmental responsibility. Excellent value for money, and we will definitely be returning for our next family vacation.

The cottages provided a cozy and warm atmosphere, with high standards in furnishings. The attention to detail during Christmas with decorations and a fully decorated tree was lovely. The location was great, allowing for exploration of County Meath. The Hen House layout was ideal for families, providing separate living space from the bedrooms. the shared games room and playground were excellent for entertaining the children.

Though the lack of phone signal was not a major issue, it would have been convenient to have a signal available.

The view of the green hills in the mist was absolutely beautiful. The amenities for kids were top-notch, with a pool table, air hockey, and even an in-ground trampoline. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, filled with fresh eggs, bread, butter, and even Guinness chocolates. The farm animals on the property were a hit with the kids, and they absolutely loved seeing the chicks with friendly staff. Additionally, the location was ideal for exploring County Meath, with attractions like the Hill of Tara and Newgrange nearby. I highly recommend Decoy Country Cottages for a comfortable and family-friendly stay.

I was slightly disappointed that there was no back door onto the backyard, as I had hoped to easily let the kids come and go from our cottage. The treehouse area also seemed a bit unsafe, with insecure stone stacks and unsafe steps to enter.

The welcome basket was delightful. Ample supplies provided. Kids loved the animals. Spacious for a family of five. Great base to explore.
