The location of this lodge is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and offering breathtaking views of the lake. The Shepherd's Hut is a cozy and comfortable retreat, with a balcony that provides the perfect spot to admire the clear night sky and the stars. The lodge is well-equipped with excellent facilities, including clean bathrooms, hair dryers, and shower gel. The owners have created a peaceful and tranquil environment, perfect for a romantic getaway or a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Some guests may find it inconvenient to have to walk to the communal lodge for water and toilets, but this minor inconvenience is outweighed by the overall exceptional experience provided by the lodge.

Great location and excellent facilities. The Shepherd's Hut was so comfortable and cosy especially with the stove lit. Best view of the lake from here from the balcony, it was a clear sky and a perfect view of the stars. Lovely romantic getaway, will be recommending. Suitable for solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups.

Felt like royalty, no reason to complain.

The location of the lodge was perfect for a peaceful getaway. The Shepherd's Hut provided stunning views of the lake from the balcony, especially at night when the stars were visible. The hut was also very comfortable and cosy, especially with the lit stove.

One negative aspect of my stay was being woken up at 2.30am due to loud music from nearby guests in a Yurt. Another disappointment was the misunderstanding about being a dog-friendly location.

I recently had a two night stay at Lough Mardal Lodge and it was absolutely amazing! Our yurt was beautifully decorated, with a huge and comfortable bed. We had a secure veranda where our dog could roam, and it was so peaceful to enjoy a glass of wine there. The grounds were stunning, with lovely views all around. The communal area was spotless and well-equipped. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back!

The stay at Lough Mardal Lodge was incredible. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy and beautifully decorated Shepherd's hut with its amazing view over the lake, everything exceeded our expectations. The communal areas were stunning, filled with board games, books, and comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing and meeting new people. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless, and the pressure in the showers was great. it was a magical experience and we can't wait to return.
