our recent stay in athlone at a hotel exceeded our expectations. celebrating our anniversary, radisson provided a centrally located venue with friendly staff, delicious food, and a comfortable bed. it was even better than our previous stay in the city. everything was perfect.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to explore and enjoy various bars and shopping options. Families with teenagers will appreciate the variety of activities available in the surrounding area. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable, and well-provisioned, ensuring a good night's sleep. The foyet and bar offer a pleasant atmosphere with great views from the decking, perfect for relaxing evenings. The service is attentive and friendly, with staff members like Avril going the extra mile to make the stay memorable. The breakfast is delicious, with a wide range of options to choose from.

Some guests have mentioned issues with the quality of service and slow response times.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially as someone who loves being in direct touch with nature. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenery along the river and a calming, relaxing atmosphere. I loved watching all the boats passing by, it was a great way to unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Special shoutout to Amy in The Brasserie, she was attentive and friendly. The rooms were spotless and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Despite the air conditioning not working, they immediately provided a fan. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of delicious hot and cold options. The hotel was also just a short walk from the town center, which was convenient.

I felt very welcome during my stay at the hotel, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

The bar staff at Radisson were exceptional and made our stay truly enjoyable. They treated my daughters and their friend wonderfully, even when they wanted to eat without me in the restaurant. We were also treated to some wonderful entertainment in the lounge. I must mention the night-time door/security gentleman, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was an absolute gem!

I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu in Athlone for a weekend getaway. The hotel had a wonderful smell upon entering and the view from my room was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, allowing me to check in early and guaranteeing a late check out. Although I didn't use the Spa, the staff there were professional and provided all the information I needed. The breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel was perfect—very central. a fantastic experience and I will definitely be returning to the Radisson.

Our stay was smooth and enjoyable. The location was fantastic, with beautiful scenery and easy access to local entertainment. The bar was pleasant and served delicious drinks. We especially enjoyed their 0% Draft Guinness. The coffee machine in our room was an excellent extra touch, and we absolutely loved the comfortable bed.

The check-in process was a bit cumbersome initially.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. First, its location couldn't be better, right in the centre of town and near the river, which made exploring the area a breeze. Second, the service was top-notch, from the friendly staff who provided excellent customer service to the numerous amenities available, such as room service, laundry, dry cleaning. Third, the leisure centre was perfect for winding down after a day of exploring, with an indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and fitness centre.

This didn't detract from our enjoyable stay.

Lovely stay with friends and kids, just wished for a kids club. Modern decor, comfortable rooms, beautiful food, and great value for money. Staff were friendly, efficient, and went the extra mile.

We had a warm reception from the friendly and supportive staff. They were especially accommodating to our small baby, offering additional baby support such as a babysitter if needed. The food was delicious and served to our bedroom, hot and exactly as ordered. The location of the hotel was excellent, as it was very close to the town center, making it convenient for accessing restaurants for evening meals and exploring the outdoor area.

Great location right in the heart of the city, perfect for exploring. Friendly staff always ready to help with a smile. the sauna and steam room in the leisure center were a nice addition to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

We had to request a room change, and although it was granted, it would have been better if we hadn't faced initial resistance. the second room had an unpleasant odor and lacked basic amenities like robes and slippers.

The hotel has a great location, with the Castle and plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with robes provided. The staff went above and beyond in their service, with one guest mentioning a wonderful staff member named Avril who made their experience truly special. There were also leisure facilities available, although they could use a bit of sprucing up.

The service in the restaurant seemed to be lacking, with slow response times and a lack of attention to detail in the presentation of the food.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel during Thanksgiving! the staff was fantastic, offering complementary hot chocolate and cookies upon arrival. the location was ideal, with stunning views of the river and easy access to town for shopping and dining. the gym was a great feature and had all the equipment I needed for a successful workout.

My room was uncomfortably warm, which made it difficult to sleep well. Despite opening the window and turning off radiators, I still found the room to be too stuffy.
