I had an absolutely incredible stay at this B&B. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with an exceptionally warm welcome from the hosts. They exuded genuine friendliness and made me feel immediately at home. The personal touch they provided was truly remarkable. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and it was evident that great attention had been paid to every detail. This B&B has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. The location couldn't have been better - just a few minutes' walk from the train/coach station and right at the heart of the shopping area. Additionally, it offered convenient access to both the Royal Canal Greenway and The Old Rail Trail. The breakfast served was fantastic, with a variety of options that left me feeling energized and satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations and share their knowledge of the area. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be recommending this place to friends.

Everything was fantastic.

I was walking the National Famine Way and Railway House Guest House was a real find for me as it is right on the route. Great value for money and a perfect location, central to everything. The owner and his good wife were 2 real characters; really nice friendly genuine people who made me feel truly welcome in their home. Great chats to make you feel right at home. I got one of the finest breakfasts I have ever had – a feast fit for a king. Lovely room with a dual-view and containing absolutely everything I needed. Nice comfortable bed and good shower meant I was well rested and refreshed and ready for the trail again next day.

Arrived excited for a serene stay, but the rhythmic rumbles of passing trains rocked me more than the cozy bedsheets. My quest for tranquility ended with a brusque room attendant, seemingly in a feud with lost property. On the bright side, breakfast fit for a monarch at least made me feel regal for a day. Bonus points for the central locale; cafes within a stone's throw kept my coffee cravings at bay. A mix of harmony and hilarity in this railway-adjacent abode. Greetings from Cork!
