Our stay at Ross Lake House in Oughterard was exceptional. The value for money was fantastic, with tastefully decorated rooms and beautiful views of the countryside. The location was perfect, offering peace and tranquility, while still being close to Connemara National Park. The staff, especially Henry and Elaine, were delightful hosts, providing great insights into the area and ensuring a memorable experience.

The only area for improvement would be the breakfast choices. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities available in the rooms or common areas before breakfast, to avoid having to wait until 8.30 am for a cuppa.

The location was perfect - scenic, peaceful, and altogether beautiful. Lovely Gardens, great for short woodland walks. Tastefully decorated rooms with great views. Excellent food and friendly, efficient staff.

What a dream house! The drawing room, the dining room, the library - everything reminded me of Downton Abbey! Absolutely fabulous, classy, and elegant. The breakfast was delicious, and we decided to stay for dinner as well, which was such a lovely experience. The dining room overlooks the beautiful gardens, and the staff members are friendly and helpful. The hotel's surroundings are amazing, with a wonderful stream running through them. A warm welcome from Henry, the owner, and his wife Elaine, who is also the chef. Can't wait to go back!

The room amenities, such as ironing facilities and an in-room safe, added to the comfort and convenience of my stay. I was also pleasantly surprised to find free wi-fi in the rooms, allowing me to stay connected during my time here.

Ross Lake House is a delightful manor hotel nestled in a serene, beautifully landscaped area. The drive up the road with the babbling brook is so serene. The food is excellent, both at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is immaculate and the staff is polite and friendly. The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions, such as Inishmor and Connemara National Park.
