I had a wonderful stay at a hotel in the centre of town. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, even accommodating my late arrival. They provided valuable advice for my trip and made check-in and check-out a breeze. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious, with a recent renovation. The bed was comfy and the duvet was cosy. I also appreciated the ample parking right in front of the entrance. Another bonus was that my furry friend was welcome, and she enjoyed her stay as well. The breakfast was excellent, and I also had a fine dinner in the bar. a very clean hotel with attentive staff.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in the hills of Donegal, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, including beautiful beaches nearby. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms that were tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home during my visit.

During my stay at Highlands, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and genuine kindness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. I particularly appreciated the offer of a picnic, even though I didn't take it, and the availability of water for our journey. These little gestures displayed their true value for money and exceptional hospitality. Additionally, I was incredibly grateful to the kind lady who posted my 2 Kindle readers back to me without asking for any refund. This level of compassion truly touched my heart. Lastly, the breakfast provided was delightful, and the total experience of my stay was nothing short of amazing.

While everything else exceeded my expectations, I did notice a lack of hair dryers in the rooms and an unexpected presence of numerous dogs around the hotel. Although I don't mind dogs, it was surprising as the hotel is not advertised as pet-friendly.

the highlands hotel in glenties truly surpassed my expectations on this visit. the recently refurbished rooms were incredibly cozy and the staff made us feel so welcome. the breakfast was delicious and the local artwork added a special touch. a perfect location to explore the stunning surrounding areas. we'll definitely be back!

musty smell in the room

Lovely countryside views from the room, and the quality of the food served throughout the stay was great with plenty of options. We also appreciated the accessibility of the location, close to beaches and hiking trails.

The hotel bar served fantastic food, including a Caesar salad that was worth the walk to Donegal. The staff also went above and beyond for our 1-year-old son. The location was great for exploring Co. Donegal, and the village was friendly. Despite the weather, the hotel was cozy and provided a comfortable refuge. I would suggest hiring bicycles and opting for prepared picnics for traveling tourists.

The rooms are stunning, with a high standard of finish, fabric, color, and cleanliness. The bathrooms are spacious and feature luxurious monsoon showers. The staff are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast is delicious and there is a varied selection to choose from. The hotel also offers facilities such as a room where you can eat and have a drink with your dog present, which is convenient for dog owners.

One small issue was that the room I stayed in got quite hot at night, which made it a little uncomfortable. However, this may be an isolated incident and not indicative of all the rooms in the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely traditional style hotel called Highlands. the room I stayed in, Room 3, was spacious and well-equipped with modern bathroom facilities. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that Meryl Streep had occupied the same room during her visit for a film premiere in the area. the hotel staff were friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were both delicious. the menu was varied and they even had daily specials. I had a great experience and would recommend this place to my friends if they're ever in Donegal.
