Despite being an older hotel, this place offers good value for money. The prices are reasonable for a hotel in this location. The location is excellent, really close to San Marco and not far from other major Venice landmarks. The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. They pay attention to detail and ensure that basic amenities are provided. The rooms may be small and a bit dark, but they are clean and comfortable. Plus, if you're lucky, you might get a room with a nice canal view, where you can hear the gondolas passing by in the morning. The breakfast at this hotel is pretty good, with a variety of options to choose from.

All in all, my stay was great and there was nothing that I believe could be improved.

I had a great time at Hotel Ateneo in Venice. The location was perfect, just a short walk from both Rialto and San Marco attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy and warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and gave helpful advice about where to go for a late night snack. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The location was perfect for exploring Venice, as it was easy to get around and visit all the attractions. The bed in my room was very comfortable, and the en suite was spacious and clean. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and I absolutely loved the custard doughnuts. One of the highlights of my trip was taking a water taxi from the nearby bus station to San Marco, enjoying a lovely half-hour trip on the grand canal.

This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the city centre and close to all the main sites. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, well-furnished, and come with Sky digital television. The breakfast is delicious, with hot scrambled eggs and the best croissants.

Great Place to stay!

After reading a few negative reviews, I was a little worried, but 5 minutes after arriving, I was excited to stay here. Of course there are no elevators in these old but classic beautiful buildings, there is no room.

The hotel was located in the heart of the city which made it very easy to get around and explore the city with my partner. The breakfast offered was really good, they had a variety of fruits and pastries to choose from. Plus, they also offered free Wi-Fi which was a major advantage during our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, always eager to help us with directions or suggestions on what to do or see in the city.

The room we stayed in was a bit small and outdated, which made it feel a bit cramped for two people. The shower room could use a bit of an update too, as it was a bit cramped.

For the value we paid, Hotel Ateneo gave us great value for money. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, and we had all the necessary amenities like a kettle and safety box. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from San Marco square and close to water bus stations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast room staff who made our mornings cheerful and enjoyable.
