Stayed in a rock cave, so "charming"! Loved the tufa limestone walls and stylish furniture. The picnic area was so convenient for my afternoon tea parties.

Oh, the reception chap was quite an angel of death. And paying a King's ransom for the room?

For the price we paid, the Caveoso was a great value. The room was cozy and clean, and we loved staying in a unique cave setting. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Sassi area. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with arranging valet parking, which made our stay even more convenient.

We loved the fact that it was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of our experience. the location was perfect. We were just a short walk away from the main piazza, where we found a variety of dining options. It was so convenient to have everything we needed right at our doorstep.

the cleanliness of the room fell short of our expectations. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves before we could use it, as the drains were clogged and the countertops were dusty.

Mattress quality could be improved.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. The location was perfect, right in the center of the Sassi, with easy access to restaurants and tourist attractions. I especially loved the view from my room, overlooking the beautiful grotto church. The breakfast served was delicious, with typical products of Matera.

Spent Christmas at a hotel in a beautiful Italian village. Loved how close it was to the main attractions, practically a stone's throw away! the local food was amazing and the hotel had plenty of dining options nearby. the comfortable rooms and attentive staff made our stay enjoyable.

There were a few minor inconveniences during our stay; the stairs leading to the rooms were a bit steep, and there wasn't any help offered with our luggage.

Staying at the hotel was a unique and enjoyable experience. Located in the heart of the Sassi, it was easy to explore the area on foot. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. the breakfast was pleasant, and the staff were friendly. I particularly liked the spacious and clean cave room, which added a special touch to the stay. It was fascinating to sleep in a cave and experience the history of the area. I would highly recommend choosing room 9 for a beautiful view of the church on the hill. the bed was comfortable and the breakfast, especially the coffee and croissant, was good. It was also nice that they brought me breakfast early in the morning.
