Located in the heart of the historic center, just steps away from the magnificent cathedral, this hotel offers a prime location for exploring the city. With spacious and comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms, and friendly and accommodating staff, guests will surely have a pleasant stay. The breakfast selection, including cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, and fresh coffee, is a delightful way to start the day. Additionally, the hotel provides shuttle service from the nearby parking lot.

Some guests with mobility difficulties may find the numerous stair steps leading to the hotel and the need to carry luggage by hand a bit challenging.

The room was nicely decorated and clean. the hotel offered a delicious breakfast spread and helpful staff that gave us helpful parking advice. the hotel had a convenient shuttle service that took us to the entrance of the city.

the hotel was located on a steep hill, which required a lot of energy to climb — a possible inconvenience for those with mobility issues.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The location was superb, just a stone's throw away from the breathtaking cathedral. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was immaculate, with plush bedding and a spacious bathroom. The hotel also offered a variety of amenities, including a spa and wellness center with a jacuzzi and massage services. The flat-screen TV in my room was a nice touch as well. the quality of service and attention to detail at this place exceeded my expectations.

Cenobio Hotel in the old town was a magical stay with friendly staff and a great location. The room was comfortable and modern, with a fantastic shower. The staff treated us like family and even upgraded our room, making our trip to Matera extra special. The breakfast had a variety of delicious options, including cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, and fresh coffee. We wished we could have stayed longer and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the historic city center. The room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was of high quality with excellent service.
