We were pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful location in a quiet village for our stay at the Convento San Bartolomeo. The old monastery, dating back to the XIV century, has been beautifully refurbished while maintaining its original atmosphere. The comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and tasty breakfast made our stay even better. We also enjoyed the peaceful cloister, garden, and fruit garden. The location allowed us to easily explore the surrounding area and return to a calm and serene environment. it was a fantastic experience.

We recently stayed at a beautiful and interesting place in the heart of Val D'Orcia. the Convento San Bartolomeo is a stunning property that has been well-maintained by the same family for centuries. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with an aperitivo in the kiosk, which was a lovely touch. the staff were professional and dedicated, making our stay even more enjoyable. the rooms were comfortable and clean, and we loved starting our day with a delicious breakfast on the terrace. the monastery itself was a sight to behold, with intricate details that we could admire endlessly. We have been fortunate to travel extensively, but this hotel definitely ranks among the best we've ever experienced.

Our Christmas break was fantastic. the atmosphere was peaceful and calm, just what we needed. the breakfast was lovely and very satisfying. the location was very convenient, only a short walk from the village with easy access to the neighboring towns. We enjoyed the friendly staff who were very helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Another advantage was the beautiful gardens which we enjoyed walking around and taking in the stunning views.

The hotel was rich in history and provided us with everything we needed for a quiet and relaxing Christmas break. Perhaps, the only downside, was the difficult time we had deciding what to do in the area, given the numerous options available to us.
