Wonderful room if you ask for it

We were initially given a room that was dark and dingy just like in the mentioned review, but once we requested a change, we were assigned a lovely room. Despite this small inconvenience, the staff was nice and accommodating.

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful quaint hotel in a quiet area of the city. The hotel is tucked away down a laneway and is much larger than expected. My room was beautifully decorated with a queen bed and a sofa bed. The huge private bathroom and central heating were a bonus, keeping the room warm in the winter. The breakfast offered a good variety of food, and the hotel's location was only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of the city. I also had the pleasure of dining at a fabulous restaurant just up the road. I would definitely book here again if I am fortunate enough to visit.

The hotel also has a beautiful garden and is close to two fabulous restaurants. Additionally, the hotel is within a short walk of the centre, making it convenient for exploring the city.

The hot water in the bathroom can be inconsistent and the water pressure is weak.

the staff at Porta San Mamolo were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I was able to leave my car in front of the hotel for my entire stay at a reasonable price, which was very convenient. the hotel's rooms are spread between several historic buildings and mine was spacious, with a separate loft bedroom and a cozy living area on the lower floor. the windows overlooked rooftops and trees, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. the breakfast served in the garden each morning was plentiful, with a variety of traditional Italian selections. the hotel's location was perfect for sightseeing in the old town, and there were also shared outdoor spaces where I could relax.
