Staying in this renovated Sassi was an amazing experience for a backpacker like me. The location in the old town was perfect and they even provided good directions to navigate the restricted traffic zone. The unique and spacious room made it worth all the steps to get there. I highly recommend this place and the dinner at their restaurant was quite good too.

Felt like home, no reason to complain.

I loved the unique experience of staying in a cave, immersing myself in the rich history of the city. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Despite the slight humidity, it didn't dampen my enjoyment as I embraced the authenticity of the setting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my stay. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as the difficult parking situation and the wait for my room to be ready, the overall experience far outweighed these small setbacks. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a memorable and unique stay in Matera.

Staying in a cave dwelling was an awesome and unique experience. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Convenient location in the heart of the historic district. Lucky with parking, close to the hotel.

When it comes to location, this hotel has it all. Nestled in the heart of the old city, it offers a unique experience of sleeping in a cave. Despite language barriers, the friendly staff made us feel at ease. the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast and dinner options were amazing, leaving us satisfied with our meals.

The manager's rude behavior and unprofessionalism left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable during our stay.
