Our stay at Rifugio Sapienza was exceptional! The simple and cozy rooms gave us a camping-like experience. We loved being surrounded by hikers and bikers, creating a fit and active atmosphere. The food at the simple pub was delicious and worth the slightly higher price. The hotel helped us arrange an ATV ride through snowy volcanic fields, which our kids absolutely loved. this hotel exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it!

As young people, we loved the discount ticket for the cable car, which made it affordable to ride. The location of Rifugio Sapienza was perfect, right by the funicular, making it a great starting point for exploring Mount Etna. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us when we found an abandoned puppy on the street. They provided everything the dog needed and even helped us find a place for him. The breakfast at the mountain hut was decent, with a good variety of options. We also enjoyed the proximity to the smaller craters, which were easily accessible by a short walk.
