I had an amazing experience at this beautiful old wooden house, Akarinoyado Villa Revage. the family-run inn, owned by Kono and his wife, made us feel like part of their family. the rooms were clean and comfortable, each with its own bathroom. the highlight of our stay were the superb onsen, which were a must after a day of hiking in the hills. the location of the hotel was great, with a beautiful walk starting right behind the premises, along a river lined with stone buddha figures. Being outside of Nikko provided easy access to Yumoto Onsen and Lake Chunzenji, and the bus conveniently passed by the hotel. the food at Villa Revage was the best I had during my three weeks in Japan. Each meal was expertly prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented, and accompanied by excellent local wines. I highly recommend this outstanding B&B for a memorable stay in Nikko.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room with forest views. Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and parking were convenient. The terrace, garden, and bar were lovely. Stayed in a comfortable room with a flat-screen TV. Explored the stunning natural beauty of Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park and Lake Chūzenji.

Such a shame the complimentary newspapers weren't made into paper airplanes for entertainment.

We had a wonderful stay at Akarinoyado Villa Revage. the room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. the fresh breads provided in the morning were a nice touch. the location was peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed taking a walk to Kanmangafuchi abyss. the host family was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations and making us feel welcome. the easy access to the temples, Imperial Villa, and sacred bridge was a bonus, and we highly recommend a trip to the national park to see Lake Chuzenji and the waterfalls. the onsens at the villa were incredible, offering privacy and a truly relaxing experience. a great place to stay.

This cozy home stay is located in a convenient spot, just a short walk from the bus stop. From there, you can easily explore the town, taking buses to various attractions or strolling along the river back to the accommodation. The owner and his son provide friendly and attentive service. The dinner and breakfast offered are not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making every meal a work of art.

The Wi-Fi in the rooms is unreliable, forcing guests to gather in the hallway for a decent connection.

The hotel is situated in a great location, just a five-minute walk up the hill from the bus stop, making it easy to get around. The rooms have a cozy atmosphere with ensuite baths and Japanese elements, even for vegetarians, and breakfast is included and delicious.

There was nothing negative to report, my stay at this hotel was enjoyable throughout.
