The location of Apa Hotel Ueno Ekikita is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from Ueno station and close to Ueno Park. The room was small but clean and modern, with all the necessary amenities like a kettle and hair dryer. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, especially Ms Irradi who went out of her way to ensure a pleasant stay. Despite a small language barrier, she arranged for a room change when I requested one away from the noisy main road. I had a positive experience and would recommend this hotel.
