I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely polite and courteous, going out of their way to assist me, even though my Japanese language skills were limited. The authentic Kyoto cuisine served during breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing. The hotel took special care to accommodate my requests, and the attentive service was exceptional. The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was within walking distance of many of the popular tourist attractions in the area. Additionally, it was easy to find and get to, even for first-time visitors like me, without having to spend a lot on taxi fares.

Menu for breakfast could have been more varied.

The employees were all very nice and courteous. The private and public onsens were both awesome in the winter and the room was very spacious for two people. You even get a yukata to wear! I loved the personalization; they wrote the names of the people staying that night on a board in the front entrance and would leave notes and fruits and tea for us in the morning or night. There are a lot of places to eat and see around the ryokan. It is right next to the Bamboo Forest and several temples. The area is extremely safe to walk around at night.

The traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner, served in a private dining room overlooking the garden, was a unique and unforgettable experience. The breakfast overlooking the river was peaceful and the food was delicious. The location of the ryokan, within walking distance of all the main attractions in Arashiyama, was perfect. The staff were helpful, respectful, and catered to our every need. we had a fantastic ryokan and onsen experience and would highly recommend staying here.

During our recent romantic escape, we were thrilled with the exceptional food and service at this traditional Japanese inn. the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were simply outstanding, with delicious dishes presented beautifully. the private onsen was a lovely addition, providing a relaxing and intimate experience for couples. Additionally, the staff were gracious and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

I had an amazing experience at this Ryokan in Kyoto. The value for money was excellent, and the room was lovely with a private garden and hot mineral water tub. The location on the riverbank facing the mountain was fabulous, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and we were amazed by the traditional Japanese decor of our room. It truly felt like our own Japanese home. The location was perfect, being so close to the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We were able to easily explore the beautiful sights of this city on foot.

I had an excellent experience experiencing the traditional Japanese ryokan at Arashiyama Benkei. The hotel is located next to the river and just a 5-minute walk from the main tourist center. The services, food, futon beds, and hot spring were all superb. The hotel even provided pick-up and drop-off services from JR Arashiyama station.

As a couple, we loved the traditional Japanese meals and the charming room at this ryokan. The service was impeccable, with a personal touch and helpful staff who spoke very good English. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all of Arashiyama's attractions. The private onsen in our room was a relaxing treat, and we could also book a private outdoor onsen with a mountain view for a reasonable price. it was the best accommodation we had during our trip to Japan.

I had the best experience staying at a ryokan in Kyoto. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed. The complementary snacks and drinks were a nice touch. The highlight of my stay was the kaiseki cuisine, which was absolutely phenomenal. I would definitely come back again. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, within walking distance to the bamboo forest, shrines, and a local shopping area. The staff were very sweet and courteous, making us feel incredibly welcome. The breakfast was delicious, and we were delighted to find a wonderful massage chair at the hotel too.
