We had a private toilet and a Japanese-style shower/bath. the staff at the ryokan spoke enough English to assist us, and they were always cheerful and willing to help. the room was cleaned regularly, and we were provided with slippers, a robe, and toiletries. the ryokan also had umbrellas to use and offered tourist information. They even allowed us to store our luggage and receive tickets at the ryokan. a great value for money!
