The room at Chalet Shiga was cozy with Western beds on soft carpeted floors, providing a comforting retreat after a day of exploring. As an older guest, I appreciated the familiar comfort and restful ambiance.

I also can enjoy the stay as a summer resort. I can stop the bar for late-night drinks. I can relax in the spacious public baths and sauna. Cons: Oh, what a deal-breaker, a curfew at 23:00! .

The onsen and sauna were a hidden gem amidst the snowy mountains, providing relaxation like a warm hug on a chilly day. It felt like soaking in a hot spring in the middle of a winter wonderland, melting away all stress and fatigue.

Me and my friend were pretty stoked staying here for a weekend ski trip. Ski in and out convenience was clutch, and the half board package kept our bellies happy. the rooms were top-notch, staff super friendly, and the onsen was a must-do after hitting the slopes. We felt right at home, and the mix of Japanese and western cuisine hit the spot. Definitely coming back for round two! Just need a dry room next time for the gear!

Arriving at Chalet Shiga, I was greeted by a convenient ski-in, ski-out location and friendly staff. the room was cozy with a forest view and the Japanese baths were a highlight. the buffet meals offered tasty Japanese cuisine, although limited variety. a delightful ski lodge experience.

Had an amazing stay overlooking the slopes. Breakfast buffet was excellent, set us up perfectly for a day on the slopes. Would DEFINITELY choose again. Better than the photos suggested.

Spent new year at a property located right on the slopes near the chairlift. Ski rental on the first floor offered great discounts. the breakfast buffet had a variety of options with both Japanese and western choices. the onsen was a nice feature and open 24 hours.

The property seems to have not undergone any renovations in many years, making it outdated. the onsen was not well-maintained and could use a good cleaning.
