The owners, a lovely couple, provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to ensure our happiness and comfort. the building itself is a fascinating example of Nagano architecture and offers a unique experience. the restroom and bathing facilities were kept clean and well-maintained. We couldn't resist indulging in the delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, which was both filling and a true representation of Japanese cuisine. Our room on the second floor was spacious and inviting, with a charming sitting area and a nice street view. We were also impressed by the reliable and fast Wi-Fi, thanks to the multiple routers available. the location of the ryokan is also a major plus, as it is just a short walk from the temple and situated on a pedestrian-friendly historic shopping street. We would happily choose this establishment again for our next visit to Nagano.

We had an amazing stay at a traditional ryokan in Nagano. the staff at Chuokan Shimizuya were so sweet and lovely, always willing to help and answer our questions. the ryokan itself was a beautiful old Japanese building, with multiple levels and stairs that added to its charm. the location was perfect, close to a shrine and within walking distance of the train station and other attractions. It truly felt like being in a Miyazaki movie, and we would definitely stay at this ryokan again if we return to Nagano.

I recently stayed at a lovely ryokan in Nagano for three nights. The proprietors were incredibly kind and accommodating, even allowing us a late check-in. The room, though it didn't have a private bathroom, had a sink and mirror, which was perfect for our needs. We felt very welcome with the provided amenities like robes, a hot water kettle, tea, and snacks. The building was also a fascinating place to explore, and the location was excellent, just minutes away from the temple and on a pedestrian-friendly shopping street.

As a guest traveling to explore the temple and historic part of town, Chuokan Shimizuya Ryokan was the perfect choice. The hotel's location between the train station and Zenkoji made it incredibly convenient. The Japanese-style rooms were beautifully designed and impeccably clean. Despite the language barriers, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We were even given a private bath for our family, which was a lovely gesture. Next time, we'll definitely try the dinner too!

I had the most amazing experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean. The hotel facilities were top-notch, especially the common hot bath which was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location couldn't have been better, situated between the train station and a famous temple. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and even provided a family bath for us. The Japanese breakfast was a must-try and the hospitality of the hosts was truly unmatched.
