We had a fantastic stay at a charming ryokan with a beautiful garden. Our spacious Japanese-style room provided a lovely view of the garden, and we even had yukata provided for us. the location of the ryokan was very convenient, just a short walk from the station. the staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. the rooms and toilets were clean, and we slept soundly in the super comfy beds. the breakfast was delicious, and overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Higashi Hongan-ji temple is just around the corner, and there is also a convenient Family Mart nearby for any needs.

the room was beautifully decorated and the futons provided were incredibly comfortable - the best I experienced during my entire 15-day trip. the included breakfast was convenient and delicious, with a variety of continental and Japanese styled dishes. the shared bathroom and shower facilities were always clean and readily available. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was within walking distance of Kyoto station, making it very convenient for exploring the city. I loved the authentic Japanese feel of the ryokan combined with modern amenities.

I had an awesome experience at this hotel. The staff were outstanding, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The price for a casual Ryokan experience was very reasonable, especially considering that it is a 100-year-old inn. The location of the hotel was super convenient, being very close to the main train station. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the rooms, with comfortable mattresses and really good air conditioning. The fact that breakfast was included was another great perk.

The only thing that could be improved was the noise from the wooden floors, which might bother light sleepers. However, it didn't affect my sleep and I was able to rest well throughout the night.

The thin walls and lack of soundproofing between rooms made sleeping a bit difficult at times. We also found the futons to be quite thin and uncomfortable compared to other Japanese accommodations we stayed at during our trip.

The staff at the Ryokan were very helpful and English speaking. The room was clean with traditional tatami mat flooring and a view of the small garden. Shared toilets and showers were very clean, with bidet toilets and sinks on top. There is a 24-hour convenience store nearby for affordable food options. Bicycles for hire and the chance to rent a Kimono and have your hair styled in a traditional Japanese way.
